The world's best podcasts don't sound that way by accident...

Hey, I’m Aman Sahota, founder of Great Take Media šŸ‘‹

As an engineer of many top-ranking podcast with over 300 episodes and millions of downloads, I understand how valuable a podcast can be for a business.

Championships aren't won by players alone. Every great team has a world-class coaching staff behind them, doing the invisible work that makes victory look inevitable. The best podcasts are no different. They have the best post production behind them. They sound like nobody else.

The edit is tighter. The mix hits differently. The sonic identity is so distinct that listeners know it's you before you've said a word.

I've spent over 10 years engineering that standard at the highest level. I currently lead all studio and remote tapings for The Ezra Klein Show at The New York Times, where I also score original music for multiple NYT productions. I've mixed and mastered The Diary of a CEO, the number one business podcast in the world, and engineered live sessions for On With Kara Swisher and The Prof G Pod at Vox Media.

I built this because I believe that standard shouldn't be reserved for shows with a full network behind them. You have a voice worth hearing and a business worth growing. Your podcast deserves the same.

If your show should be generating clients and it isn't, the production is probably part of the problem. I can fix that.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Some of our most frequently-asked-questions:

Q. Do you offer a guarantee?

Yes. If your first paid episode isn't the best your show has ever sounded, I'll refund it in full, no questions asked. Hiring someone new is a leap of faith and you shouldn't have to take that leap blind. The guarantee is there so the only risk in trying is the time it takes to book a call.

Q. What makes you different from other post-production services?

The experience I bring comes from working inside some of the most demanding audio environments in the world. I currently lead all studio and remote tapings for The Ezra Klein Show at The New York Times. I've mixed and mastered The Diary of a CEO, the number one business podcast on the planet, and engineered live sessions for On With Kara Swisher and The Prof G Pod at Vox Media. What that means for you is a production standard that most shows never get access to, applied to your show every single episode.

Q. How long does it take to turn around an episode?

5 days from the moment I receive your files. A consistent publishing schedule builds audience trust, and the last thing you should be doing is chasing someone down to find out where your episode is. You won't have to.

Q. What's my time commitment as a client?

Minimal. You record and send me the files. I handle everything else. The only recurring touchpoint is a monthly 30-minute check-in call where we make sure the show keeps improving and stays aligned with your business goals.

Q. How does pricing work?

There are three blocks: Audio, Sonic Branding, and Video Content. Each has a one-time setup fee covering onboarding, your podcast audit, and any custom music composition, followed by a monthly retainer based on four episodes per month. You only pay for the blocks you need, so you're never paying for something your show doesn't require. Book a call and we'll walk through exactly what makes sense for your show.

Q. Why shouldn't I just do this myself?

If you have the time and want to learn, there's nothing stopping you. But most business podcast hosts find that the hours spent on editing, mixing, and video are hours taken directly away from their business. The quality gap between a self-edited episode and a broadcast-quality one is also bigger than most people realise until they hear the difference. That gap takes over 10 years of experience to close consistently. Your potential clients will hear it, and first impressions are hard to undo.

Q. My listeners haven't complained about the audio quality. Does it really matter?

Listeners rarely complain about audio quality directly. They just stop listening. Research consistently shows that poor audio is the number one reason people abandon a podcast, often within the first 60 seconds. But for a business podcast the stakes are even higher than that. Every person tuning in is a potential client. The quality of your audio is the first signal they receive about the quality of your work, your attention to detail, and whether you're someone worth trusting with their business. That judgment is made before you've said a single substantive word, and it's made whether you're aware of it or not.

Q. I have a co-host or guests who record remotely. Can you handle that?

Yes. Remote recording setups are a standard part of the process. I can also advise on the best platforms and setups for remote guests to make sure the recording quality is as strong as possible before the files even reach me.

Q. Who owns the rights to the content you?

You do, 100%. Every file, every piece of music, every edit belongs to you from the moment it's delivered. No exceptions.

Q. Do you work with podcasts that are just starting out, or only established shows?

Both. If you're already publishing, I'll audit your current show, identify exactly what needs to improve, and bring it up to the standard it deserves. If you're pre-launch, even better. We build the sonic identity, the production workflow, and the overall sound from scratch so everything is right from episode one rather than fixed later.

Q. Do you take on a limited number of clients?

Yes. I keep my roster intentionally small so every client gets the same level of attention and quality I bring to the shows I work on at the network level. If spots are available I'll always say so on a call. If you're serious about working together, the sooner you reach out the better.

Q. How do we get started?

Book a call below. We'll talk through where your show is, where you want it to go, and which blocks make the most sense for you. There's no pressure and no hard sell. If we're a good fit, I'll send over everything you need to get moving.
